Oscar E. Ibarra Humphries

He began his professional career at D'Arcy Advertising as a copy trainee, rising through the ranks over 12 years, eventually reaching the position of VP and Director of Planning and Creative Services, with additional responsibility for the agency's planning and analysis systems, called Belief Dynamics (Dynamics of Beliefs) and MAPS (Marketing and Advertising Planning System). 

During his creative career he won several awards such as Teponaxtlis from Malinalco, World Class Copy Award from Procter & Gamble and honorable mentions in the La Letra Impresa contest.

In 1990 he decided to become independent by forming COM Comunicacion Integral, which evolved over the years until it became COM Consultores de Marcas. In addition to his agency, he has collaborated as a consultant in marketing and marketing communications for companies such as Monsanto, Merisant (Canderel), Schering-Plough, and institutions such as the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of the Interior and some municipal governments.

He has had experience in multiple markets such as beer and wine, food, cigarettes, financial services, tourism and hospitality, business benefits, insurance, telecommunications, agricultural products, agricultural biotechnology, environmental services and others.

Oscar has taught various seminars and workshops, including: "How to advertise with gender equity", for the Ministry of the Interior; “Copy and positioning strategy” for various companies and for the Fox Center; and “Brand, the difference”, given to companies privately.

He has been a guest speaker at relevant national events such as Media UpFront with the theme "The value of brands"; for the National Institute of Women in the International Symposium on Non-Sexist Advertising” with the theme Advertising with equity; for companies such as Monsanto and Schering-Plough Animal Health with the theme “Basic Marketing”; Speaker at the Creativity and Advertising Forum "Strategies to Grow your Business" organized by AMAP and the Reforma newspaper and speaker at the 1st. Marketing Congress of the Universidad Iberoamericana in 2018 with the theme "Belief Dynamics".

He has participated in the academy as Guest Synodal at the University of Communication.

He has been a member of the Board of Directors of AMAP, the Mexican Association of Advertising Agencies, is part of the communication and purpose committees of AVE (Alliance for the Strategic Value of Brands) and co-leader of communication of the Hunger Working Group. Zero of the UN Sustainable Development Goal for Mexico.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of CONAR, the Council for Self-Regulation and Advertising Ethics, and was part of its Executive Commission with the position of Vice President of Advertising Agencies.

He is currently President and General Director of COM Consultores de Marcas, a company dedicated to strengthening companies by nurturing brands.
